Happy November everyone!
It's time for a new challenge at Paper Sweeties!

Very inspired by the colors in this one, and feel of
Thanksgiving.
Take a look at some inspiration using some sets
featuring Pilgrims.

This was so much fun to make. Emma and Jake celebrating and sharing the fruits of autumn.
Hope you join in this month, and create something too!
Remember, you might be chosen as our Guest Designer!

MIM #228 Pearlized Blending

Pearlized Blending with Lizzie Jones this week at Papertrey's MIM.

There my Perfect Pearls have sat, neglected, unused for too long.
Until Lizzie's challenge.

I did it her way, cut my rectangle from vellum,
stamped my image from Botanical Blocks 111, with versa mark,
used clear powder, then applied the Perfect Pearls.

It's my attempt at CAS. Something I am not.
I did manage to sneak in a rhinestone, hopefully won't disqualify the CAS label.
Going right back into the craft room to layer and bling up something!

PTI October Blog Hop

PTI October Blog Hop,
and here's our inspiration

All things vintage Christmas!

Hope you're cozied up with your favorite morning beverage,
I have a lot to show you!

I was so inspired by Amy's winter swag created during the release,
I used her colors and techniques, and filled Fancy Teacup
with the beautiful foliage from Spruce and Sprigs.

Next up is a tag

Melissa did a 3-D bottle brush for the release.
Memory lane, as it was one of the first things
I learned at a card class years ago.

Next, a couple of shakers, done a bit differently,
inspired by the single red & white retro ornament in the box.

And an Ornament Shaker again,

Lots of shimmer!

AND, finally,
I had to play with Betsy's new set and make some tags

So easy! Comes with a roof die, I glittered.
die cut opened door for a peek into the 2nd tag

A peek on the inside with plenty of room to write.

Can't wait to visit each of you to see how you were inspired!
Just as soon as I get home from church.
We're going through a series called 'First Families of the Bible, and You
Thought Yours Was Crazy!'
Today: Samson, complete with free haircuts after the service!

Happy Hopping!

Merry Kiss-mas!

While looking for a stamp set to play along with MIM,
I came across this Christmas set by none other than Lexi Daly,
our hostess for this week's challenge, 'Focal Clusters'.

I'm in full Christmas card and tag mode, so
this was a perfect one layer, quick assembly
card.

Lexi demonstrates how to cluster your elements,
allowing the eye to see it all in a glance.
Just brilliant!

PTI: Merry Kiss-mas
Inks: Berry Sorbet, Limeaid Ice, True Black, Pinefeather
Embroiderd Frames: Dots (negative image)

Paper Sweeties October Release Rewind!

Welcome back for Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!
This is a chance to show how well the new release works with
 the older stamps.

My card features 3 of the 4 new stamp sets
together with the banner stamp and die,
and the word 'Christmas' from Happy Holidays

Hints as to how I did this card?
Wanted a sepia look, kind of like the old master's paintings,
so I inked all around the edges of the dp, darker on the bottom,
not inking the middle, creating a glow from my characters.
Emma has pony tails, which I cut off and re-attached as hanging hair
behind the veil.

The star is cut from glitter paper, and then edged with platinum stickles.
Did the same for the dolls and baby Jesus' halo and headbands.
There's selective Wink of stella to hi-light, and copics
in pale browns.

Everything was popped up with foam dots.

Love giving the inside a little TLC too!

So much inspiration from all the designers!
Enjoy it all!

Paper Sweeties October Release Party

Are you ready for a party?
Paper Sweeties is rolling out 4 new holiday stamps and a
sweet cuts set to match one them.
It's finally Release Day, and I have a set of tags made with some
dies from the new set.

Yesterday I showed the mitten from this set.
Today it's the tree's turn!
Stitched Tags: #2 also comes with the
darling bow you see at the top.
I handmade the tag box carrier, and decorated it with one of the trees
front and back.

Each tag is cut once from designer paper, and once from
red and green card stock.

The ring die adds an extra special touch to the tags.
The tiny holly is from Deck the Halls.
I used PS Oatmeal seam binding, tied with twine and finished with a Strawberry
or Green Apple PS sequin. So festive!
A white gel pen can add the to and from on the solid dark tag.
They're so quick and easy to do a bunch of  them,
and the boxed set make a great hostess gift!

Tag Box dimensions: 4 3/34" x 4 1/2"
The widest part of the tree is 2".
Score each side at 1 1/4".
I added the contrasting red corners to make the box sturdy.
Handle is 2 strips (red & green) 8 1/2" x 3/4".
Any questions, just email me. I'd be glad 2 to help.

Enjoy shopping, and don't forget to visit
the other designers for more inspiration!
